Guide to using AudioMixer
Windows 11 Setup
- Open Sound SettingsRight-click the speaker icon in your system tray (bottom-right corner of the screen).Select "Sound settings".
- Access More Sound SettingsScroll down within the Sound settings window Click on "More sound settings". This will open the classic Sound control panel window
- Navigate to the Recording TabIn the Sound window that pops up, click on the "Recording" tab. This lists your available input/recording devices (microphones, line-in, etc.)
- Show Disabled DevicesRight-click anywhere in the empty space within the list of devicesMake sure "Show Disabled Devices" is checkedIt's also a good idea to check "Show Disconnected Devices"
- Find and Enable Stereo MixLook for a device named "Stereo Mix", "What U Hear", "Wave Out Mix", or something similarIf you find it and it's grayed out with the status "Disabled":Right-click on "Stereo Mix" and Select "Enable"
Windows 10 Setup
- Access Sound SettingsLocate the speaker icon on your taskbar (usually bottom-right). Right-click it and choose "Sounds"
- Navigate to Recording Devices:In the "Sound" dialog box, select the "Recording" tab.
- Reveal Hidden Devices (if needed)If "Stereo Mix" isn't visible:Right-click an empty area within the device list. Ensure "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" is ticked.
- Enable Stereo MixRight-click on "Stereo Mix" and Select "Enable".
- Confirm ChangesClick "Apply" and then "OK" to save your changes.
