ApexTech ("Company," "we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our InterHelper desktop application (the "Application"), our website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Application or our website.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide and improve our Services. We are guided by the principle of data minimization and are transparent about what we do and do not collect.

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • • Account Information: When you register for an Account, we collect personal information, such as your name and email address, which is necessary to create and manage your account.
  • • Payment Information: To purchase Tokens, you will need to provide payment information, such as your credit card details. This information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors and is not stored on our servers. We only store a record of the transaction, such as the date and the number of Tokens purchased.
  • • Communications: If you contact us directly for support or other inquiries, we may receive additional information about you, such as the contents of your message and any other information you may choose to provide.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • • Application Usage Data: When you use the desktop Application, we may collect diagnostic and usage data to help us improve the Services. This may include information about the features you use, session duration, application performance, and crash reports. This data is aggregated and anonymized wherever possible.
  • • Website Interaction Data: When you visit our website, we use third-party analytics tools, such as PostHog, to collect information about your interaction with the site. This may include logs of your activity, which buttons you click, and session replays. This data is used exclusively to understand user behavior, identify which features are used most and least, and enhance the overall user experience on our website.
  • • Device Information: We may collect information about the computer you use to access our Services, such as your operating system, application version, and a unique device identifier. This helps us provide support and troubleshoot issues.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect or Store

Your privacy is paramount. The core functionality of InterHelper involves processing sensitive audio data. We have designed our systems to respect your privacy by not retaining this information. Specifically, we DO NOT:

  • • Listen to, record, or store any audio from your device's microphone outside of your active use of the transcription feature.
  • • Store, save, or log the content of your transcriptions. The transcription is generated in real-time and exists only transiently on your device and our servers to be displayed to you. It is discarded immediately after the session.
  • • Store, save, or log the AI-generated responses. The responses generated using your Tokens are provided to you in real-time and are not saved in our systems.

You are solely responsible for saving any transcriptions or AI-generated content that you wish to keep. We have no way of recovering this data for you once your session ends.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • • To Provide and Maintain the Services: To create and manage your Account, manage your Token balance, and allow you to use the Application's features.
  • • To Process Transactions: To facilitate the purchase of Tokens through our secure third-party payment processors.
  • • To Improve Our Services: To understand how our users interact with the Application and website, to troubleshoot issues, and to develop new features and functionality.
  • • To Communicate With You: To respond to your comments, questions, and requests for customer service, and to send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and other administrative messages.
  • • To Enforce Our Terms and Policies: To protect the security and integrity of our Services and to enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share the information we collect in the following limited circumstances:

  • • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analytics (including PostHog), and customer support. These third parties are obligated to protect your information and are restricted from using it for any other purpose.
  • • Compliance with Laws: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
  • • Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • • With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect the personal information we store. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information (such as your Account information and transaction history) only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, such as maintaining your Account and complying with our legal obligations. You can delete your account at any time, which will result in the deletion of your personal information from our active databases.
